I am going to blow up the GPO and then kill some women and bury them in the Wicklow mountains but when I get caught and tell the judge why I did it I will be let off with a warning and a packet of pocket tissues.

Do you remember that time when BOD jinked in on the touchline to score against Wales. In BOD we trust.

Ireland are definitely suffering from the fact that he is/was so good for so long. We really have 3 top domestic sides to choose a 13 from. Munster have had imports and Ulster have had Trimble but he probably was happy enough to switch to the wing cos he fancied playing for Ireland.
Last few years a few others have broken onto the scene, but getting a run at the top level consistently is what is required to make the step up.

BOD's recent hiatus is good for Irish rugby as painful as his absence is.

Does anyone think he will be around for the next Lions tour?
I can't see him being in the first XV myself but he would be a great talisman for the tourists.

Do you remember when BOD performed an amazing one handed pick up at full tilt to score against NZ in 2010. In BOD we trust.

Yip, he has said that he REALLY wants to win a Lions tour, he is basically aiming towards 2013 as a last hurrah. He wouldn't make the test team on recent form but who am I to write him off? We were debating his place in the Irish team in 2008 after an indifferent 18 months and he went on to have an amazing season before the SA tour.

It is hard to imagine when he will not be coming back in. I love BOD. If he ran for Taoiseach, id vote for him.

Certainly could not do any worse. Well spoken, presentable, and has already been an embassador of sorts for Ireland. Wouldn't take any nonsense form the French either

He was indeed a God on that tour, I would love him to find his form again.
I fear he will not

We should retire the no 13 jersey, followed by a week of national mourning

POC got revenge when he kneed him in the head a couple of years back. He nearly fucking took his head off.

About 30 seconds in. Not in this vid but Drico got up, wobbled, and fell over.

Yes he will return to lead Ireland to a victory over the kiwis and also to captain the lions one last time. The greatest player to ever represent Ireland and the dominant rugby force of a generation

That would be nice re the Lions. The plucky wee lad deserves more than his solitary win in a Lions jersey.

So you need to be in a side that beats NZ and wins the RWC to be regarded as a great player?

Funny how the goal posts have shifted now that NZ's current crop of great players are world champions.

Yeah yeah you beat us when we were missing our best forward and when our pack played their worst game of the year. You played very well no doubt but next time we meet, it'll be a different story I reckon.

How so? Are you, perhaps, trying to deny that the all too common argument that how McAwe, Carter, Henry, et al, could not be considered great as they had not won a world cup was ever postulated on Planet Rugby?

McAwe and Carter are widely considered all time greats, and have been for a while. You'd have to search hard to find a rugby fan to deny that.

Methinks you swallowed a troll and carry it around like a bitter fool reinforcing a common stereotype. Would you consider, say, Stephen Donald an all time great?
