Well, at the very least, that's the 'monkey off our back'. Just hope they don't go the way of our incredible, World Champion 7s side ... :?

Had to lose a game eventually. One of those games. Welsh scrum and halfbacks won it for them I thought.

Had to happen eventually. The u20 sides seem to be completely new every year so it can be a bit of a lottery putting together teams for this tournament.

It's interesting that the NZ side hasn't been that strong in the set piece for the last couple of years, might give an indication of the type of rugby they normally play. Will be interesting to see how they respond from this.

You know we're going to go all Grandslam 2005 and let the win go to our heads and then we lose to Samoa in the last pool game.

Would be great to see us get through and play Wales again. That will be some rematch.

England favourites for me.

Is it correct that Wales' prize for beating the JABs is a SF against the best runners up? Which is likely to be NZ? Some reward. Perhaps that might make Wales think it is a better bet to not get a 4T bonus against Samoa and hope that either Argentina or England overtake them in tournament points and pick up the NZ game as a result (I'm not jumping to conclusions about the England game, it's just that the only way that Wales can be overtaken as top seed is likely to be as a result of an England group win). If Wales go down this route, you can tell that they are going to make their supporters have kittens watching them.

Is it a mistake - the JAB are your second side and you dont have an A Side.

I hope your u20s are currently not your second side according to the IRB - as all the players playing today are forever tied to NZ.

Trolling an U20 loss, big man!

JAB is mistakingly referred to as U20 side possibly due to Junior Springboks being used.

JAB's was a stupid moniker given to NZ A a few seasons back. This team is now on the backburner with NZ Maori taking 2nd team slot. Maori caps do not tie a player to NZ as silly as that sounds.

What's so funny?

A keewee news site using the term suggests it's more than just a wiki error.

I think the confusion comes from them playing in the 'Junior' World Championship. The Junior All Blacks are in fact our A team which used to contest the PNC.

Neither wikipedia or Stuff should be trusted on this matter.

Anyway, congrats to the Little Leeks on beating the Baby Blacks. Are the Munster lads nervous about their new coach?

Is this the biggest ever upset in U20s rugby? Yes. I know I'm bigging it up, however the Taffs were on the wrong end of a mammoth manshaming some 12 months ago ...

You'll argue anything, won't you. The team is not officially known as the Junior All Blacks and most Kiwis refer to them as NZ U20's. U21's used to be called NZ Colts.

From allblacks.com...

NZU20 team named to play Wales
allblacks.com - (8/06/2012) - 7 Comments
New Zealand Under 20 Coach Rob Penney has named a significantly changed team to play Wales early tomorrow, keeping just four of the original starting XV that thumped Samoa 63-0 in their opening Junior World Championship pool match this week.

There is actually a team called the "Junior All Blacks" and it is not them. Those journalists are a bunch of cunts.

The U20s are called the U20s. If they stay in the game after that shameful loss, they might one day make the Junior All Blacks. However, this loss will be noted on their files and will be looked at sideways from now on.

Absolutely Auckman. We cannot have teams or players that know what it is like to lose to Wales infecting our rugby fraternity.

They must not be allowed back into the country.

 Fucking wiki.

Basically, the under 20s should be called the Junior All Blacks. It doesn't make sense to call what is essentially New Zealand A a 'Junior' team.

Not at all. We've just corrected you on who JAB actually refers to. If you weren't angling for a troll you'd accept what we've told you and move on rather than linking to dubious sources. It's not a big deal.
