It's surprising that so many people are picking us for an away win here. Yes we put a few past a pathetic Force side, but the Cheetahs are a much better team. They'll edge this one due to home advantage.

The Sharks are just so much better equipped with players from 1-15 across the park.
Home advantage? The stadium will be empty, the Sharks are so used to that at Kings Park it will suite them. Also, more of the Sharks players will sleep at their parents homes than Cheetah players.

I can only see advantages for the Sharks.

Poor Cheetahs.

I found it more sad than funny that so many Clown players still stay with their parents.

Such a poor union can't afford to pay their players enough to buy a house, even in Bloem. And 1/2 the team are so young that they aren't allowed to sleep away from home unsupervised yet.

Except Coenie who is poesing around all over Osfontein night clubs.

Can see him revving a Harley at the stadium after retirement.

It is painful to watch him at the moment, I really feel for this guy and I think he is a far better player than his recent outings show. Hope he gets himself out of it and has a cracker.

I feel for the lad. Truly. He needs a boost.

Sharks will need to up their game if they hope to walk out of this game with 4 points. Cheetahs are playing hard uncompromising rugby and the Sharks forwards had better be up for this battle otherwise we will get our arses handed to us. Very nervous about this game - more so than the stompies the following week. It is a "trap" game for us.

Not so sure about the trap game. The Stormers game the lads know will be a tight affair. The Cheetahs are going to run it. Everyone knows that. Just sort out the defence and the Sharks will have more across the park than the Cheetahs. At least we will see some tries.

Trap game in the sense the Sharks become a bit cocky and overconfident after two wins (they shouldn't be) added to the fact that they're looking towards the huge home game against the stompies at Kings Park the following week. Not a good combo.

Just because the stormers scrum was Harrised doesn't mean that the Sharks scrum will be Beasted.

I just hope that the mighty Sharks do not trample us like the superb Stormers did.

Sharks by 25, if they show mercy.

I miss Kabamba.

Ouboet, we all miss Kabamba.
Lets just hope that the spirit of Kabamba is with the Cheetahs during this game.

Sorry, sitting here in the Land that Time Forgot. What happened to Kabamba?

Kabamba last played in 2011 CC for the Cheetahs and ended with a injured knee.

‘Beware Stormers bullies’

Cape Town - The Sharks could take on the Cheetahs in their Super Rugby clash in Bloemfontein on Saturday without the services of flyhalf Patrick Lambie.

Beeld reports that the Springbok suffered concussion in their 53-11 mauling of the Force in Durban on Saturday.

But according to Sharks team doctor, Ewoudt van der Linde, it's not a "bad concussion" and Lambie's condition has since improved.

"However, there is a Boksmart protocol we have to follow with such an injury and we'll need to strictly monitor him according to those standards.

"Therefore a decision will only be made by Thursday at the earliest."

Van der Linde said they may even decide to make a decision as late as Saturday morning, which could see them travel to Bloemfontein with 23 players.

Apart from Lambie's injury, fullback Louis Ludik sustained a dead leg against the Force and would need to pass a fitness test on Thursday.

The clash at the Free State Stadium kicks off at 17:05 on Saturday.

This is not good news. I have no faith in Michalak whatsoever. I'd start Bosman at 10.

Heard on the radio that Lamb has a concussion, but that plummers is hopeful he will be ready. How the hell does that work though?? Shirley if he has concussion he should not even be considered for the game on Saturday? Rugby needs to wake up to the severity and seriousness of head injuries.

From what I understand concussion means a mandatory 2 week break.

Yep. Sadly players like Juan Smith will pay the price later in life. They've been concussed far too many times and rugby has never really taken a bold step in dealing with the seriousness of head injuries.

Rugby has a serious disregard for head injuries though. One often sees a player who is knocked down, suffering a head shot, the medical team go out and put some ice on and then the players continues with the game. If it was a boxing match it would be a 10-count and all over, but in rugby you often hear of blokes saying how they remember nothing of the match after the head-knock. Fucking farcical imo.

If Lambie does indeed have concussion, I hope he is nowhere near the field on Saturday - even if he would be a difference maker in a Sharks win or loss.
