And Willie is right about every positive comment being countered by something in exactly the same article, how many times is Ulster's success mentioned and then countered by some shite about south Africans and not helping Ireland or some shite.

In fairness that is the case. At the moment Leinster are ranked 1 at 100.00, and Ulster 14 at 65.45.

http://www.eurorugby.com/index.php

Does that reflect Ulster's 3 losses in our last four games that we've thrown in favour of targetting Europe?

We've gone from 7th to 11th in it.

Weird, we're in the final too, and the final of the Pro12. How come we didn't have to throw any games to get where we are?

It's a question of class really.

You know how avidly Willie and Earl read the 'southern media'. Both take The Examiner these days, I believe.

I'd like to see Ulster win this,so they can have a picture taken with the actual Heineken cup,but I just can't see any other outcome than a Leinster win by double digits.

To be fair to Earl Conor McGuinness ex Connacht/Ireland also said in the ST that he is usually up for the underdog but he hopes Leinster win because he enjoys watching them- we all knew what he really meant though

Lads this is serious- they have God on their side. According to Dan Tuohy 10 or 11 of the squad meet up the evening before every match for a prayer group run by Johann Muller- I've decided not to go now.

It's mental, all the journalists and former pros said Ulster may as well not turn up. BASTARDS.

I expect Earl and Willie to have HUNDREDS of examples, that's probably the delay here, they are swamped by so much Mexican derision for Ulster they can't decide what to quote first.

Whenever you're ready lads.

Because you have a bigger squad with more quality in backup to your first team, not hard to understand really.

Lads why don't you just admit you were talking shite and you get semis from made-up tales of persecution at the hands of the filthy Mexicans?

Or else give us a few examples of course...

A surprising amount of spite on this thread. I thought the Ulster and Leinster lads would feel an affinity like Munster people feel a connection with Gandhi, Mandela and all those great lads.

Right give us the quote and time in the file where they say Ulster shouldn't bother turning up.

Also, we'll have some other examples please.

OK so you admit that the clip doesn't contain what you said it did.

Any other examples? I am expecting HUNDREDS. But we can start with one :P

I just want to highlight Earl and Willie's bullshit victim mentality for what it is, that's all.

Everyone south of the border would be cheering for Ulster if they were playing Clermont. I'm sure plenty of folk in Connacht and Munster are up for them against Leinster. Any reporting I have seen has been hugely positive about Ulster. Every single one of us was cheering for Ulster in the semi even though we would have considered Edinburgh an easier fixture in the final. If Ulster win I will be delighted that even though Leinster lost at least another HEC has gone to an Irish team.

There's nothing wrong with people saying they think Leinster are the better side, our record suggests we are. But nobody has said Ulster shouldn't bother turning up or don't have a chance as far as I can see.

I don't understand the persecution complex and I don't expect Laurel and Hardy to have the grace to admit they were just talking shit so I am determined to make it perfectly clear that they are before I move on, especially given Willie's graceless behaviour with the thread title.

It goes without saying that the rest of the Ulster lads have been decent and down to earth as per usual.

Ah jaysus

why did you have to spoil it for them by telling them the truth?

Don't mind them Willie

There's a southern conspiracy to annex Ravenhill and turn it in to a hurling pitch.
The Southern Rugby establishment are in cahoots with the Irish Government and Sinn Fein to ensure the utter destruction of Ulster Rugby with the ultimate objective being Amhrann na bfhiann and the Tricolour get used as all Irish Rugby matches.
No surrender willie
no surrender

Charming

Willie stop trying to create something that patently isn't there. You're confusing the favourites tag with bias and failing miserably.

You should be glad you're underdogs, it's the best place to be coming into a major final. And for the record, I've been supporting Ulster after Leinster since this year's competition began. Some Munster acquaintances of mine are not talking to me now because of it, so get over yourself and enjoy the occasion.

And change the thread title. It's small-minded and ignorant.

Having Leinster as favourites does not equate to "Ulster shouldn't show up".
