Just noticed they are selling it and the money goes to John Muir Trust and Scottish Mountain Rescue - you can get it here.

Thx for that. I read "extensive use of titanium" to lower the weight. That is some fancy kit.

Yeah... going by propellor shape, I'd say an A400M. Hercs don't have the same undercarriage either, do they?

Oh, so you don't know either??!!

I'm not sure either way, I think the props look right for a modern Herc (they've been changed, I think) but it was the undercarriage that made me question myself....

Nice vortex shot though! 8)

Edit: couldn't be a C17, could it?

It's an A400

With a nod to the Munro map, above, there's also this for Wainwright and the Lake District:

Edit: arse. Original, decent sized version won't link.

Aren't you a money trader?

If I was your father, I'd be disowning you, you miserable bugger. All that disposable income and you buy him a fucking poster?
Scottish stereotype coming into play there, for sure.

My idiot son-in-law has done them all. Maybe I should get one for him.

It's Burg Hohenzollern. It was rebuilt by Friedrich Wilhelm IV in the mid-19th Century, the third rebuilding (the first castle was completely destroyed in a siege in the early 15th Century). Only the chapel of the medieval castle remains.

Thought it might be.

I remember seeing somewhere that during the 17th century (presumably during the 30 years war) the Swedes destroyed something like 1500 castles in Germany alone. Mad shit.

Yep, Gustavus Adolphus pretty much took a "scorched earth" approach to warfare.

Ah yeah. Sure you'd do the same. I've always wanted to crush central Europe myself in fairness to him. Not to mention Sweden's friends in teh East.

I do play Europa Universalis III a lot alright.

Restoring the Holy Roman Empire and Byzantium are among my favourite things to do.

Playing Crusader Kings 2 a fair bit at the moment.

My final EU3 game saw Ireland ruling all of Western Europe the Carribean, southern Africa, Argentina, Chile, etc, and North America.

Was pretty pleased all things considered.
