Wow, did a lot better than I thought. Scott was my best performer but I did have everyone making the cut which helped.

Cheers Monners.

2 players missed the cut, and one pulled out. I'll take 6th place.

I'd say I was last. Which is something....

Golf is a gentlemans sport, so it's no surprise that a frightful oik such as yourself would be out of your depth.

You are a clueless fuck in so many ways.

One of your menage was last, by the way.

And I've won one of these. 8)

Glancing through I would say DP is the probable winner, which obviously is annoying on multiple levels.

I think I have come in the bottom quarter of every prediction comp I have entered, but rather impressed that as I embark on my new career, I win the first one!

Thanks Monners.

 Nice.

How is the course shaping up early in the week mate. Is it firm and fast already? Are they holding those slopy fairways easily?

Greens are insanely fast. The winner will be someone who hits long and straight, and so has short irons in that stick.

The set-up is like nothing I've ever seen. Meda facilities ate incredible. They are expecting 250,000 spectators ...

Yeah no doubt.

Are the greens holding well or already showing signs of firmness.

Its fantastic, like on a scale I've never seen before. The merchandise tent at the venue is the size of Great World City, with as many outlets; the media centre is the size of an aircraft hangar. There are nearly 500 journalists, and they are spoilt rotten. Transcripts of every press conference are made available less than five minutes after they end; fantastic free food and drink is everywhere and there is also lots of free swag, from shirts and caps to balls and bags.

There were, literally, thousands of spectators on practice day on Tuesday and today (it is still early evening on Wednesday here) paying $60 just to get access to the course. I have very privilaged access and so I walked around inside the ropes with lots of the players, interviewing them on the fly.

The track is incredibly difficult -- the course rating is 77.1 and slope rating 150 and on some greens the stamp is running at 14.
