I tend to agree. 6 months for ACL and medial colateral seems very quick. Toulouse are looking at 9 months for Medard and he didnt rupture but only sprain the medial ligaments.

Always amazed me how same sort of injuries give different times to different individuals. Process of rehab would appear to be different for different teams.

Exactly.

They ASM needs to field the crabos against Brive. We all know it makes sense.

At home ? Clermont giving in to the coujoux ?

The crabos would likely beat Brive.

Where's the brotherly love? Clermont knows it's right to send Bayonne down.....

Just before the RWC they did a short documentary on Domingo...Apparently he's some sort of freak that recovers really fast from injuries and stuff...

I'm guessing ASM is trying to get him in shape before the semis. Seeing how Barcella got hammered in the scrum last weekend I can't blame them.

Still really quick. Suspiciously and dangerously quick.

surely Bourgoin should be forced to merge if they want to retain their pro status. Too important for French Rugby to lose a club that produces players.

It is crazy indeed, I can't believe it. They seem desesperate to have him at least on the bench for the finals.

You do not make a rich man by merging 2 poor ones. (often used in the béziers Narbonne area.

Grenoble and Bourgoin should join forces somehow. But that would mean Bourgoin should accept to live in the shadow of Grenoble. They could become a feeder club, while they take on board young Grenoble players not mature enough to make the Top14 yet.

This is soon to be the case for Brive. :D

Reference to Biarritz being minced at scrum time by Montpellier in the first half of the game. When Barcela (and the other prop) were taken off, things suddenly improved. Barcella was just coming back from injury, if I understand well. And I think Ongpatonga implies that ASM must be keen to get Domingo to have some game time in the hope they can have him on the match list for the semis.

Average Crowds for Top 14 as of Rd 24 is around 14,004 per match.... Looks like another good year when Finals swing by.

Not bad it's about +2k since 2009. Where did you see this stat , I tried to see the crowds for Prod2 and couldn't find any numbers.

Yes, what TheFrog says. It was sad seeing Barca getting pounded, although he wasn't the only one to blame IMHO.

Another Impressive team is Bayonne with their crowds as well.

Drawing around the 12K per match.

Also SF... Had 4 good crowds at the SDF and also they got a 20K+ crowd at another venue as well.

Points-fest at Moga for the last UBB match (vs. USAP) and a victory in the end, 37-29. Wonderful season for the promoted Bordelo-Beglais who finish 8th! I'll happily renew my season-ticket next year. :o

Note that Camille Lopez, their young FH who worked his way up as starter over the season has been called for physical tests in Marcoussis with a group of 26 other players.

As for the other teams, Lyon and Brive are demoted to Pro D2. Toulouse and Clermont earn respectively 1st and 2nd spot and are automatically qualified for the semis. Their opponents will come out of the Castres-Montpellier and Toulon-Racing playoffs.

Final rankings
1 Toulouse - 87
2 Clermont - 87
3 Toulon - 73
4 Castres - 69
5 Montpellier - 67
6 Racing-Métro 92 - 64
7 Stade Français - 58
8 Union Bordeaux-Bègles - 53
9 Biarritz - 52
10 Agen - 52
11 Perpignan - 49
12 Bayonne - 48
13 Brive - 42
14 Lyon OU - 31

We already know Grenoble will be back in Top 14. The other team will come out of a 4-team playoff involving the Section Paloise vs. La Rochelle and the Stade Montois vs. Dax (what a derby!!! :o ).

I hope La Rochelle get back in to the Top 14. Got a good support base there. Are Beziers definitely gone or does that depend on Bourgoin's financial situation?

If you go there, Pau (Pyrenees), Mont-de-Marsan and Dax (Landes) are rugby-mad places, much more so than La Rochelle.

Unlike the other clubs La Rochelle wouldn't get prison shamed and average 12,000 a match.

I am slightly bewildered as to what Huget has achieved this season, outside of being suspended, first for the missed tests and then for the punch when he returned!!

Still he is returning to Toulouse next season and some, whisper it, see him as a fill in 15  He reminds me of Damien Traille in that position, large, clueless and without an ounce of finesse!

He's being readied by PSA to throw away a RWC semi-final in 2015.

Ouch! Will be interesting at Toulouse next season - he will have to fight for a place, Dongy, Clerc, Matavanou (who is a great try poacher but i am not yet convinced of his overall game), Medard (as and when he is fit). Clerc is ageing, not sure how old Dongy is so could be in preperation for the changing of guard.

Huget is big and muscular - his forays into the international scene have so far been underwhelming - i suppose Toulouse have seen something that they are keen to re-introduce into their system.

Has someone had a chance to see Domingo play? I couldn't watch the game. How did he hold himself in the scrum? How long did he last? Good that he came through it uninjured.

Clermont did Brive no favour, they completely destroyed them. What tough sent off.

EDIT: just found on Rugbyrama the live report. It seems that Domingo was solid enough in the tight. No info about his involvement in the loose.

I think the guys retiring wanted to go out with a bang ...

My friend has the game but took ages to download. I Might ask him for the tape ;) ...

I missed that, but this could be a blow to Montpellier. If Gorgodze is suspended 3 weeks, he'll be out for the QF and the SF.

I watch the rest of the game, and Beauxis is definitely not a great 10.

Red was harsh in french context
