The Ski trip was a proud moment for the Rock and the other schools' alumni involved.

We stopped off outside where Donnybrook Fair is and I was Don Juan with 2 birds on either arm, classic Mitty. We rounded the corner and I was faced with about 15 chicks armed with eggs, flour and milk - I was properly stitched up by those little hussies. Apparently I had lined one of their mates mouths with my own special Odlums brew outside Old Belvo and then had blanked her for the rest of the night...See her around the odd time, she's married now with two kids I think, still make 'blowie' gestures at her in the car...

Classy. What age are you?

i think we all know that Mitty was bullied at school and probably still is ; luckily enough he hasnt been able to find/pay for someone to extend the family line

It seems like pretty unpleasant behaviour. It does fit the whole nouveau-riche image, I guess.

I think they were trying to tell you something, Don Juan, but sensitivity obviously isn't your strong point!

Fascinating thread. All the stereotypical South Dublin rugby wankers out en masse.
There is an us and them culture that pervades most of the private schools in Leinster and that includes within the institutions themselves. The defunct middle classes sending their kids off to mix with future business contacts and cultivate a completely ludicrous frathouse society that has no relevance or meaning in Irish culture. When I was in school everyone was a step away from a half-door in Kerry. Pranks were non-existent because if you got expelled you carried it through your entire working life.
I'm hoping that you are a superb troll Mitty. If not the good news is that [I'm assuming that you are a child] you won't change as you get older. That story was pretty disgusting by the way and if true, shows you up as a rancid little misogynist.

As for the subject matter, what these girls did was pretty understandable. When you are brought up to believe that there are no consequences for your actions you become an oblivious adult and will bring up idiot children.

That said some of the best people I know are products of private schools. The disappointing stamp of privilege is still encouraged and doesn't really have any place in modern Ireland.

Though I agree with the sentiment, it isn't confined to just the middle urban class in this country, there is a national problem of people not taking responsibility for their own actions in this country. These girls are just displaying one aspect of it.

What Mitty doesn't get either is that there could well be some other lothario on another public forum talking about his sister in a fairly similar way hoping for a couple of cheap laughs. Just saying....

Point taken but I can't speak for schools outside Leinster. The other thing is that people sending their kids to a private school in Ireland expect certain standards.

By the way Mitty it's precisely because of arseholes like you that I don't post here any more

Mate, fuck off.

Half the lads on here complaining about what they did are ex-private school lads. The others are taking the piss.

Question is who are you? I know who I am and I don't have a benchmark on post quality as I don't care what you or anyone thinks about me. I occasionally post on this forum when something interests me. I have a niece in Mt.Anville who is a lot younger than these girls so I have an opinion on it.
You on the other hand are like a comedian telling the same joke over and over again in the hope that it will get funnier the more you do it.

Just so I can feign interest in this exchange why don't you send me a link to something you posted that is notable that wasn't created by Paul Howard?

And those more recently in school (ie in the last 20 years) who know the score with this. Pranks are fine, sometimes they go over board. Slagging/banter sometimes edges on bullying [i]sometimes[/].

I just about fulfill that criteria. 6th year kids picking on a 5th year and making her the butt of a joke is bullying. Not a prank.

BlackMac I would take this story with a health warning- every year the Irish media run a series of stories about spoilt rich kids making pricks of themselves. It started after a young lad died when he got punched outside a nightclub during a fracas. This particular girls story is story number 5 of this particular 'rich kid' season

You're going for the 'if you commit foul play but it doesn't injure the victim then that's alright' angle.
